I was starving once we finished the yard work and enjoyed the usual, Greek yogurt topped with goodies:
I was still hungry afterwards so I had a tiny bowl of raw broccoli with a drizzle of balsamic glaze:
Again, I was starving for my next meal about 3-4 hours later. I had a piece of double protein toast topped with 1% no-salt cottage cheese, 1/2 of a small avacado, a few slices of tomato and a drizzle of the balsamic glaze. This might not sound very good to you but trust me it is FAN-TAS-TIC. I also had a small amount of grilled chicken topped with hot sauce and a few blackberries. Do those puppies look hormone packed or what? They are the biggest I've ever seen.
You might need some close-ups:
Today's workout was crossfit once again. I didn't think I would have the energy to do it but I didn't want to skip a day of working out so early in my master plan.
I did 10 rounds of the following:
-(5) reverse-grip jumping pullups*
-(10) jumping squats
-(10) laying leg raises with kettle bell**
-(12) lunges with dumbell bicep curls (10 pound dumbells)
*By reverse grip I mean with your palms facing you, so that your biceps do a lot of the work. During the first few sets I was able to jump up into the pullup and very slowly let myself down. The more sets I did, the faster I fell.
**I layed on my back and held a 25 pound kettle bell straight up in the air without moving it and raised my legs from the ground until they were perpendicular to the floor. I kept my legs as straight as possible and crunched my abs to get them off the floor and slowly lowered them down.
Dinner was very yummy. Teriyaki chicken, yasmin rice and beet salad:
Later for "dessert" I had a half of a banana topped with some almond butter:
I did experience something crazy today. I don't know whether it was the first time ever, BUT it was definately the first time in a looooooooooong time. After the workout, I got a few cramps in my gluts. What the heck? All those jumping squats and lunges worked my buttocks to the max. I guess they decided to get back at me.
Well, tomorrow is leg day at the gym and then a 12 hour shift. Hopefully I can walk tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Friday!
Those blackberries DO look huge, like "Arnold" huge HAHA!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Where do you get the 1%, no salt cottage cheese? Is that just no salt *added* or no sodium per serving (didn't think they made no-sodium cottage cheese- hope that is not a ridiculous assumption!)
T
Whoops, it is no-salt added by Friendship. It has 60mg of sodium per serving. =)
